Privacy
Effective 6 November 2026. Voltknock (working title) is a game in development by David Gilliam. This page covers the sign-up list on voltknock.com.
What we keep
Your email address; whether you're 13 to 17 or 18 and over, worked out from the birth month and year you enter; when you joined; which link brought you (for example, Twitch); and which version of the form's wording you saw.
What we don't keep
Your birth month and year themselves, your IP address, or cookies. This site has no ads, trackers or analytics. Your browser keeps a small note that you've answered the form, so it doesn't ask again. The note holds nothing about you.
Under 13
If the date you enter shows you're under 13, nothing is sent or kept. If we learn someone under 13 is on the list, we delete the entry.
Why
Only to send you one email when Voltknock opens. No newsletters. We don't sell or share your information. If we ever want to email you about anything else, we'll ask first.
How long
We delete the list 60 days after that email goes out, or on 6 November 2028 if Voltknock hasn't opened by then.
Who handles it
Vercel hosts this site. Like any web host, it sees your IP address when you connect and keeps short-lived logs of its own. Neon stores the list in the United States. An email delivery service will send the email, and we'll name it here first. Mail you write to hello@voltknock.com passes through our domain registrar, Namecheap, which forwards it to the developer's Gmail inbox.
Leaving or asking
The email's unsubscribe link removes your address at once. To leave sooner, or to ask what we hold about you, write to hello@voltknock.com. We act within 10 business days.
US only for now
The list is for people who live in the US.
Do Not Track
We don't track you here or across other sites, and no one else collects information about you through this site, so every visit is treated the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above. We won't use what you gave us in a new way without asking.
